Amy is a dedicated mother and working professional who is passionate about improving people's lives.  She has worked in non-profit leadership since moving to Plattsburgh in 2003 and wants to apply her experience and abilities to public service.

Amy understands what it requires to navigate complex issues to find solutions.  She is a collaborator and believes all voices have value.  

As Council Member,  Amy will represent the people of her ward and the interests of the people of Plattsburgh.

Work Experience

Amy is the CFO for the North Country Center for Independence, a non-profit organization that helps people with disabilities. NCCI promotes better policies for and understanding of disability issues, as well as helping people with disabilities live more independent and productive lives.

Prior to NCCI,  Amy  was the CEO of the North Country Association for the Visually Impaired, dedicated to assisting people who are blind or visually impaired. 

 

Amy previously worked as the Development Director for Plattsburgh's Joint Council for Economic Opportunity, as well as a case manager for Genesee County Community Mental Health in Flint, Michigan.  She spent some years working from home before her children entered school, and has experience in marketing, graphic design, grant writing, community outreach, program development and business administration.
